THE FUTURE OF (A)ESTHETICS
Laser hair removal for all Skin Types – You will learn the following Laser Hair Removal
Alexandrite
The Alexandrite laser delivers a light wavelength proven most effective for fair skin types, specifically, types I and II on the Fitzpatrick scale. This wavelength is considered the best for removing fine, vellus hair. The Alexandrite laser can penetrate as deep as hair can grow, up to 5mm.
810nm Diode
The 810nm Diode laser hair removal system is preferred for skin types III and IV; however, it remains effective for skin types I and II. Compared to the Alexandrite, the 810nm Diode delivers a longer wavelength of light capable of penetrating the patient’s hair follicle while causing less epidermal injury. This is a safer treatment option for patients with darker skin.
Long Pulsed YAG
The Long-Pulsed YAG can treat a wide range of skin types, I through VI, but is most effective on V and VI types. This laser is optimal for removing unwanted body hair on people with darker skin tones, as lasers with shorter wavelengths cannot always provide safe treatment. The Long-Pulsed YAG light wavelength offers outstanding hair removal results without unnecessary skin damage.
Intense Pulsed Light
The intense pulsed light (IPL) has four filters that technicians can utilize for various non-abrasive procedures, including acne reduction, pigmented lesions removal, and hair reduction.
1. Acne Reduction
2. Pigmented Lesion Removal
3. Hair Reduction
4. Surface pigmentation
5. Fine lines
6. Wrinkles
