Hi and Welcome to G Skin & Beauty Institutes, My Name is Kim and I’m part of the Instructional staff, here at G. Ingredients are what make a product and what you choose, truly makes a difference.

Foundation ingredients form the fabric of a product, providing hydration, nourishment and moisturizing properties.  Often it is a butter, or oil such as Shea Butter, Avocado, Almond Butter, Kokum Olive oil or even Mango Butter.

Avocado Butter , for example is nourishing and high in amino acid proteins.  You will often find it in a blend with other oils, as is is a rather expensive ingredient. It is frequently used on dry and aged, or mature skin, as it has excellent nourishing properties.

Mango Butter is extracted from the seed of a Mango, and is a hard butter, producing a firm cream, that is very white. Mango butter is rich in Vitamins E and has wound healing and regenerative properties on the skin.

Argan Oil is rich in vitamins, antioxidants and fatty acids. It is beneficial for preventing stretch marks, and also has sebum regulating properties, which makes it a useful addition when working on  acneic  and oily skin clients. You may already recognize Argan Oil, for its nourishing and regenerative properties. \It has been used in hair and cosmetic preparations, for  dry and brittle hair and nails.

Almond Butter, not quite the same one we eat for breakfast, but almond butter is another ingredient commonly found in skincare and haircare products. It is full of fatty acids and it is used for its spreadability. Making it a wonderful addition to any product.  It is used in balms, lotions, creams and even in hair conditioners.

There is so much more we would love to share with you about ingredients. And I look forward to you joining use , at one of our G Skin & Beauty campuses. Until then…take care and we will see you soon. Thank you.
